Launch your career with confidence.

Future Leaders is a free and innovative youth employment program designed to empower you with the skills, support, and connections you need to succeed in today’s workforce.

This program is proudly sponsored by the United Way of British Columbia to provide a pathway of educational and career opportunities for youth ages 15-30.

Through engaging workshops, personalized coaching, and hands-on learning, you’ll:

  • Explore diverse career pathways to discover what inspires you

  • Strengthen your job search skills, including resumé building and interview strategies

  • Build workplace readiness with training in financial literacy and other topics

  • Gain access to additional training and certifications to boost your qualifications

  • Explore a variety of work experience opportunities within community programs

Whether you're just starting out or rethinking your future, Future Leaders will help you build the confidence and tools to succeed.

The Future Leaders Program runs three intakes during Fall, Winter, and Spring with six youth accepted per intake. You can check with the Family Literacy Coordinator, or the Family Literacy Assistant to check if the intake is full, or if we have space for people to sign up.

To register for the Future Leaders program or for any further questions, please contact our team by calling 250-850-5616 or by email at leah@fncls.com.

We acknowledge that we are on Treaty 8 Territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and traveling route to the Cree, Dene, and Dane-zaa (Beaver), and Metis. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Metis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
