Literacy

The Adult Literacy Program is a completely confidential and safe program for adults looking for learning support. There are no limitations on the types of assistance provided. This includes:

  • Computer skills

  • Reading and writing

  • Job searches and resume writing

  • Employment Insurance application and other forms

  • Social literacy and conversational skills

Our goal is to provide a supportive and comfortable environment for adults to increase their knowledge, learn new skills, and reach their learning goals.

Do you want to learn more about using technology? We offer free one-to-one technology support for laptops, smartphones, tablets, and more. You can bring your own device or use our computers and tablets.

Call the Learning Centre to schedule a tutoring session.

Adult Graduation & Upgrading Support

 

Do you need some assistance to work on your high school diploma or adult upgrading courses for post-secondary education? 

We can provide

  • Assistance with applying for school programs, grants, and scholarship

  • One-to-one tutoring

  • Exam supervision

Are you interested in improving your money management? Join us for Basic Financial Skills Tutoring to assess your monthly spending and income, create a household budget and learn to do online banking and bill payments!

Join us for this weekly beginner Japanese class at the Learning Centre! Please note that this drop-in class is limited to a maximum of 10 people due to the COVID-19 restriction.
