Adult
Literacy
Adult literacy Program provides small group and one-to-one support and tutoring to adults, to increase overall levels of literacy. The goal of this program is to support adult learners achieve their educational and personal goals to increase life skills, obtain gainful employment and access services available to them.
Family
Literacy
The Family Literacy Program provides small group support and tutoring to parents and caregivers, to improve and encourage learning in the family unit. The goal of this program is to support adult learners achieve their educational goals and facilitate a healthy learning environment for their families.
ESL &
Settlement
The ESL & Settlement Program provides help to newcomers in Fort Nelson to meet their potential, create or increase community connections and use English to communicate effectively and participate fully in the social, economic, political, and cultural life of our community and of Canada.
We offer many special programs through granting and fundraising opportunities to help address literacy needs in the community. This includes book clubs, computer classes, Indigenous language classes and more. We are currently a part of the Dolly Parton Imagination, a book giving program that provides a free book every month to children under five.
