Marwa, Isam and family goodbye gift

June 20th is World Refugee Day, a day to honour those who are forced to flee their countries because of war, persecution and other circumstances.

This week we will say "so long" to some very special community members. After arriving from Syria in summer of 2017, the Sharkia family has touched many lives and made countless friends in Fort Nelson. Now they are relocating to Abbotsford where a new adventure with many opportunities await them. Isam, Marwa, Hulud, Shehid, Adnan and Rami - you will always be in our hearts. This is our goodbye gift for you.
