Learnering Awards

We're thrilled to extend an invitation to you for the 2024 Learning Awards Show, organized by The Fort Nelson Community Literacy Society and proudly sponsored by Secure Energy and the Phoenix Theatre.

 

This event is a celebration dedicated to recognizing and honouring exceptional community members in Fort Nelson who have demonstrated remarkable perseverance in their pursuit of learning, education, and cultural enrichment. These individuals often work tirelessly behind the scenes, and it's our goal to shine a spotlight on their incredible achievements.

 

The awards ceremony will take place on June 13th, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Phoenix Theatre. Don’t forget to bring your appetite! There will be appetizers, desserts, and refreshments, all free of charge. 

 

There are ten categories available for nominations this year. If you know of someone who embodies the spirit of these awards, we encourage you to nominate them. Please review the criteria for each category carefully and provide a detailed description of the nominee's accomplishments and contributions.

3. Learner of the year

4. Spirit of Learning

5. Cultural Leader of the Year

6. Newcomer Award

7. Learning though Family Literacy

8. Learning through Volunteerism

9. Indigenous Languages Learner Award

10. Achievement in trades

 

Thanks to the generous support of Secure Energy, recipients will receive cash awards this year.
